Intro

This Privacy Policy explains how REM Merge handles information when you use the game. REM Merge is a single-player number puzzle published by REM Play. The game does not require you to create an account or sign in to a REM Play service.

REM Merge uses third-party services that may process personal data and related device or usage information. This policy does not claim that the game collects no personal data. Processing can depend on your region, consent choices, device settings, whether ads are removed by purchase, and how you use the game.

1. Local game storage

REM Merge stores gameplay progress and preferences locally on your device. These may include game state, score-related data, sound and haptic preferences, language, theme, board mode, undo state, and advertising-frequency state. REM Play does not operate a cloud-sync service for this gameplay data and does not upload your board state to a REM Play server.

2. Advertising

REM Merge may display interstitial advertisements using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Banner, rewarded, and app-open ads are not part of the current release configuration.

Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to request and manage advertising privacy choices where required. Advertising requests are gated by UMP's CanRequestAds state where applicable. REM Play does not maintain a separate custom consent database.

Google Mobile Ads may process information such as IP address, interactions with ads or the app, diagnostic information, and device or account-related identifiers for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The exact processing can depend on region, operating system, device settings, and consent choices.

REM Merge includes advertising technology that may use advertising identifiers and other device-related information to deliver, measure, and protect advertisements. The information processed depends on your device settings, region, and applicable privacy choices. REM Play does not directly access your advertising identifier for its own purposes. Google's publisher first-party ID feature is disabled; this does not prevent advertising services from processing other device-related information.

When an owned Remove Ads entitlement is active, REM Merge disables its interstitial advertising.

3. Gameplay analytics

REM Merge uses GameAnalytics for product and gameplay analytics. Analytics may include app-open, game-flow, and other technical gameplay events together with technical information made available by the SDK. GameAnalytics advertising-ID tracking is disabled, and REM Play does not intentionally provide a custom external user ID to GameAnalytics. GameAnalytics is not gated by UMP.

REM Play does not claim that disabling advertising-ID tracking makes all analytics data anonymous. Processing by GameAnalytics is also governed by GameAnalytics policies.

4. Crash diagnostics

REM Merge uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error diagnostics. Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, relevant application state, device metadata, installation identifiers, session information, and related diagnostic information.

REM Merge does not use Firebase Analytics as its product-analytics pipeline, and REM Play does not intentionally set a custom user ID in Crashlytics.

5. Purchase processing

REM Merge offers an optional permanent, non-consumable remove_ads purchase through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles payment and purchase processing. REM Merge reads purchase status or entitlement information from Google Play to determine whether Remove Ads is owned.

REM Play does not operate its own payment server for this purchase, does not collect payment-card details, and does not intentionally send purchase tokens, receipts, or order identifiers to GameAnalytics or Crashlytics.

6. Information REM Play does not ask you to provide

REM Merge does not provide a REM Play account system and does not ask for your name, email address, password, contacts, or precise location to play the game. If you voluntarily contact REM Play by email, the information you choose to provide is processed as needed to respond and provide support.

7. Why information is processed

Information described in this policy may be processed to:

  • store and restore local gameplay progress and preferences;
  • provide, measure, and limit interstitial advertising;
  • present and remember advertising privacy choices where required;
  • understand game usage and improve the product;
  • diagnose crashes and technical failures;
  • process the optional Remove Ads purchase and remember ownership state;
  • help prevent fraud and abuse; and
  • meet applicable legal or regulatory privacy requirements.

8. Sharing and service providers

Information described above may be processed by service providers that support REM Merge, including Google (Google Mobile Ads, UMP, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play) and GameAnalytics. These providers process information under their own terms, privacy notices, and applicable agreements with developers. REM Play does not sell personal information directly.

9. Consent and privacy choices

REM Merge uses Google's UMP flow for advertising consent and privacy choices where required. Ad requests are gated by UMP's CanRequestAds state. Where Google indicates that privacy options are required, the game provides access to those choices from its settings. Available controls and the effects of a choice can vary by region and by Google's advertising services.

10. Security

REM Play limits the app's data handling to what is needed for the services described above and uses established third-party SDKs and platform services. Data transmitted by third-party services is protected according to those providers' security practices, including encryption in transit where provided by the service. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Retention and deletion

How to request data deletion.

Game progress and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can remove local app data through your device's app storage controls. Uninstalling the app may also remove local data, depending on your device and operating system.

Google, Firebase Crashlytics, and GameAnalytics apply their own retention and deletion practices to information they process. Clearing local app data or uninstalling REM Merge does not necessarily delete information already held by these providers. No fixed retention period or automatic deletion is promised here.

REM Merge does not create a REM Play user account, so there is no REM Play account to delete. Contact REM Play using the email address below with privacy questions or requests about information REM Play controls. REM Play cannot guarantee deletion of information independently controlled by third-party providers; you may need to contact those providers directly.

12. Children's privacy

REM Merge is not designed as a child-directed service. If the intended audience or advertising configuration changes, this policy and the game's privacy configuration will be reviewed before release of that change.

13. International processing and regional rights

Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Depending on your location, applicable law may provide privacy rights or choices, such as rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may contact REM Play with a privacy enquiry or request, and advertising privacy choices may also be available through Google's UMP where applicable.

14. Third-party privacy information

15. Changes to this policy

REM Play may update this Privacy Policy when REM Merge, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
